At K9DC, we believe training should be enjoyable, confidence-building, and rooted in kindness.

That’s why all of our training and behaviour work is guided by science-based, positive reinforcement methods, helping dogs learn in a way that is safe, effective, and emotionally supportive.

As part of their regular Day Care experience, dogs benefit from basic training and gentle behaviour shaping woven naturally into their daily routine. For those looking to advance their dog’s skills even further, we also offer additional, tailored training sessions that can be booked to take place during their time at Day Care.

Whether your companion is mastering foundations or working on more complex behaviours, our qualified team is here to help them learn, thrive, and enjoy every step of the process.

Basic Training

We're committed to providing every dog with a chance to improve their behaviour and learn with us every time they attend our doggy school.

Every dog will receive basic training and the chance to learn throughout their session with us, delivered by our qualified team of carers.

As part of a standard day care session we are able to teach your dog:

Recall
Settling
Loose lead walking
Sit

Advanced Training - 1:1 Sessions

If you want to take your dog's training to the next level, or there's a more complex issue you need help with, our team of trainers can take care of it during your dog's visit.

We charge extra for these sessions as they require 1:1 specialist attention, and will often include travelling to off-site to work on behaviours safely in real world locations.

Advanced training sessions include working on behaviours such as:

Reactivity to humans or dogs
Settling in advanced locations around distractions
Extreme resource guarding
Other aggressive behaviours

Training Staycations

If your dog has a particular issue that has an impact on home life, we can work on that whilst they're enjoying their holiday with us. You can leave your pooch in a trustworthy environment, knowing they are receiving training throughout their stay, delivered by a qualified training and behaviour specialist.

Enjoy returning from your time away, being reunited with your beloved furry friend, who's now got a brand new positive behaviour where troubles used to lie.

As part of a training stay we will dedicate time to work on the desired behaviour on evening and weekends, whilst ensuring it is being implemented during its time at day care.
